Getting late

Home again, home again. Welcome 2007.

The break thus far has served to remind me that, contrary to the daily messages I get from a certain university, I am not a completely horrible and incompetent person. That's always good. Hey - I never said I wasn't dramatic.

Christmas was good. I'm starting to settle in and embrace the young adulthood dilemma of holiday splitting. This is of course the constant struggle for time and balancing what limited time we all have delicately so as to spend the greatest amount of time possible with two families. When do we branch of and have "our own" Christmas, with "our own" family? Maybe that waits until kids enter the picture. It looks like we have a while to perfect the time juggling. I think it was a little lopsided this year.

Wedding planning can be all-consuming. I'm okay with that, to a certain extent. A few intensive days can compensate for a full month of procrastination. I'm just hoping to avoid panic just before the big day. But I'll say it here just because I can - I ache to finally finally finally be with the man I love. No more saying goodbye and when will we be able to see each other again.

I really like this new hat I got. Keeps the head warm.

My new year's resolutions: Learn to knit socks. Don't start eating oysters. Increase muscle tone.
